Research for character: Hildo the messenger dragon-breed man

This week, I started researching on my next character design, Hildo. I came out with ideas for Hildo's outfit and also how his face could look like. I really enjoyed the process, especially when designing my different ideas for his face. I encountered some challenges when deciding whether I should come up with more varieties for his face shape. Since Hildo is skilled and fast when fighting using his sword, I thought of using a triangle shape for his face shape, but yet I thought about having more variety in terms for his face shape as well in order to explore more. In the end, I tried to create a mixture of rectangular and triangular shaped faces for Hildo. The rectangular face shapes show more of him being skilled with his sword fighting and being a reliable person to count on when faced with danger. The colours which I have applied onto the designs for his face and his outfits are just to gage how those colours would look for that particular design and not the final colours which I am going to use for my final design of Hildo.
